As we reflect on the past 115 years of our existence, Ironton Internet & Telephone takes pride in offering reliable and affordable communication services in the ever-changing world of technology. Our family-owned and operated business has been successful in staying relevant in a challenging field by understanding our customers’ needs and pushing the boundaries of technology as it evolves.
We have a long history of being a leader in the communications industry. Our company brought telephone services to North Whitehall, Pennsylvania in 1909, providing services to just six customers on open-wire. Over the years, we have continued to innovate, which has resulted in us being the first to offer touch-tone phone services, the first analog electric switch, and later leading into digital switching in 1995. We have continued to upgrade our technology, and today we provide VoIP services through the use of a CS2K softswitch. We are proud to have offered bundled communication services to over 4,000 local connections, and we have serviced over 30,000 telephone lines throughout the tri-state area.
As we move forward, we have expanded our reach to provide services anywhere in the United States with our Hosted PBX cloud-based phones and SIP Trunking through our subsidiary Ironton Global. We have recently launched Keystone Metrofiber, which delivers high-speed broadband services on our own fiber network and CBRS capabilities. With these recent enhancements, our goal is to continue to be on the forefront of sophisticated technology to continue our mission to provide invaluable communication services to our community.
