Registering Devices to an Account
SIP Credentials:
- Why does a customer require SIP Credentials for a device?
- The SIP Credentials are used to register any SIP device to the switch.
- The SIP device will NOT communicate with the switch without being registered.
- Outbound calls will be rejected and the user will receive a recording stating the account is not active.
- Inbound calls will receive a Fast busy or a recording depending on the callers provider.
- The SIP device will NOT communicate with the switch without being registered.
- The accounts SIP credentials are a two step account authorization process.
- Account ID:
- This ID associates the phone to the account setup in the switch.
- The 11 digit telephone number of the device.
- Service Password:
- A case sensitive password allowing authorization to the account ID.

- Where does the customer find their SIP Credentials?
- The SIP credentials are provided in the Welcome Letter when they setup service.
- The Welcome Letter is provided to the Customer's Account Manager.
- What if a customer misplaces their Sip Credentials or requires the Service Password?
- Only the Customer's Account Manager is authorized to receive a copy of the Welcome Letter or request the Service Password for an Account ID.
- Technical Support will NOT provide this information to any unauthorized contact for the customer.
- Please contact you Account Manager for any changes to an account or requests for SIP Credentials.

- All customer changes to the SIP device's programming will revert to the provisioned setting if the power is lost or the device is rebooted.
- To ensure the changes are not lost, please supply the changes to you sales representative.
