What is affected?
- The Voicemail Web Interface.
- The Call Management Web Interface - Find Me - Follow Me
- The Voicemail Telephone Interface
- Accessing and retrieving messages using *82 and *84 from your home phone or by dialing one of the access numbers from another phone number will not change
- The current Web Interface requires the use of Microsoft Silverlight Plug-in Platform.
- Currently the only Web Browser that supports this Plug-in is Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- All other Web Browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge) have moved away from allowing the use of any plug-in applications to run data formatting scripts.
- This is all due to security reasons.
- This upgrade will change the Web Interface Access to an HTML5 secure web page.
- Two upgrades are required.
- This upgrade has already been completed.
- HTML5 platform upgrade has been applied and is currently running alongside of the Silverlight Platform.
- Web Interface Access:
- Voicemail and the Find Me - Follow Me Feature will require the use of separate Web Portals.
- Voicemail Web Interface:
- Playing, downloading and deleting messages.
- Playing, updating and deleting greetings.
- Call Management Web Interface - Find Me - Follow Me:
- Changing the Service Settings.
- Call Sequence Setup.
- This upgrade will remove the Silverlight Platform and fully integrate the HTML5 Platform.
- This upgrade will happen in early 2018 and will be coordinated with our customers to prevent any issues with accessing the portals.
- Completed HTML5 Upgrade Web Portal Access:
- Voicemail and the Find Me - Follow Me Feature will require the use of separate Web Portals.
- Voicemail Portal:
- Playing, downloading and deleting messages.
- Playing, updating and deleting greetings.
- Updating and deleting Greeting Schedules, Events Greetings, and Specific Caller Greetings.
- Updating and deleting Email List entries.
- Updating and deleting Email notification Settings.
- Updating and deleting Distribution Lists. (Business Customers Only)
- Call Management - Find Me - Follow Me Portal:
- Changing the Service Settings.
- Call Sequence Setup.
