Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini

Overview:

Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini is a digital private branch exchange (PBX) ideally suited for small and growing businesses, and enterprise branch offices requiring from 60 to 128 lines with expandable capacity up to 800 lines. The Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini offers the full range of Meridian 1 advanced applications and features for both traditional and Voice over IP (VoIP) communications.

Key Features:
  • Optimized for the small, 60 to 128 line branch office.
  • Operates on Meridian 1 X11 Software, and supports all Meridian 1 networking protocols and applications.
  • Supports VoIP with Meridian 1 ITG Gateways and IP desktop telephones.
  • Offers IP Expansion option, which supports distribution over IP.
  • Delivers maximum flexibility with wall-, table-, or 19" rack-mountable.

Features:

  • Motorola 68040 Commercial Processor: Packs the rich feature set of larger Meridian 1 systems into its smaller footprint. This processing power enables the Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini to support the rich suite of desktop, attendant, networking, administration and Voice over IP (VoIP) applications delivered with Meridian 1 X11 software. All with carrier grade five nines reliability.
  • Ethernet Connection: Provides an Equipment LAN (ELAN) connection into server based applications such as Symposium Call Center Server (SCCS) for intelligent skill based routing within Call Centers, standalone CallPilot servers for Unified Messaging and to Optivity Telephony Manager (OTM) for PC based system administration. It can also be used to deliver Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) alarm traps to open management workstations such as HP OpenView. SNMP compatibility allows more efficient Meridian 1 alarm management to provide a unified view of network operations in managing both voice and data networks.
  • Keycode Software Activation: Offers a software delivery system which enables Feature Packages and Terminal Number levels to be activated by keycodes, allowing for much quicker and easier order fulfillment. X11 Software release upgrades are handled via PCMCIA cards. All of the software features of the release are then loaded onto the Option 11C Mini system and just those features desired can be activated. Keycodes also address adding or modifying features as business needs change or expand.
  • Easy-to-Use Digital and IP Telephones: Bring all the powerful features and services of the Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini to each desktop, thereby helping employees to communicate better and improving productivity company-wide. Choose from a wide selection of M3900 series telephones to match the specific needs of each employee. In addition, to bring Voice over IP (VoIP) to the desktop, IP Phone 2004 and IP Softphone 2050 provide the robust feature sets of traditional digital telephone portfolio with the administrative advantages, such as adds, moves and changes, that are inherent with IP Telephone implementation.
  • Effective Voice Messaging: Gives the tools to provide personal and professional attention to everyone who contacts the company—whether by phone or by fax. CallPilot, for unified messaging, brings email, voice mail and fax management to each employees desktop PC. Mailbox management is point and click. Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini also supports traditional voice mail solutions. Meridian Mail Card Option provides voice mail messaging as well as a wide variety of other features for efficient message management. And with Meridian Mail networking, cost-effective and efficient voice messaging can be provided to any location within the network, delivering the same features to everyone for simpler communications.
  • Call Center Management: With Nortel web portal solutions portfolio, business can take advantage of the latest advancements in skill base routing and customer relationship management applications. Whether it's for a workgroup call center with Symposium Call Center Express (SCCE) or the most robust of call centers with Symposium Call Center Server (SCCS), portal solutions by Nortel improve operating efficiency with functionality that delivers the best in customer service.
  • Powerful Networking: Used throughout the network, a powerful suite of Integrated Services Digital Networking features and standards are supported with ISDN Q.Sig. ISDN is a set of standards that is capable of transmitting fully digital communications (voice, data, fax and image) over the same facilities. With Q.Sig support, these transmissions can also be across the network, even if switches are made up of multiple vendor platforms (provided these vendors also support the Q.Sig standard). Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini's robust ISDN feature set benefits business as it expands to multiple sites with centralized services (for administrative savings) and distributed intelligence (for added system resiliency and customer responsiveness). Examples of centralized services across the network include Uniform Dialing Plan along with Centralized Messaging Services, which standardize user interfaces while simplifying administration.
  • Distribution over IP: With the IP Expansion Option, Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini expansion cabinets that house Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) can be distributed across campus via 100Base-T Copper or 100Base-F Fiber point-to-point. This affords business the opportunity to leverage the existing bandwidth in place that supports the data network for QoS enabled VoIP. All with the robust feature set and reliability delivered with Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini and Meridian 1 X11 software.
  • PC System Management: Optivity Telephony Manager provides the business with a powerful suite of windows based applications that enables the conduction of traffic analysis, configuration of Meridian digital and IP telephones, and performance of call tracking and billing functions—either on site or remotely over the web. Offering maximum flexibility and simplified administration to the IT staff.

Benefits:

  • Optimized for the small branch office (60 to 128 lines) as either a standalone or networked solution within a corporate enterprise with flexible expansion capability up to 800 lines.
  • Operates on the same X11 Software as larger Meridian 1 systems in the portfolio delivering the same desktop, system and security features available to the business as these larger systems.
  • Supports all Meridian 1 networking protocols and the full range of integrated Meridian 1 applications, including: Meridian Mail, CallPilot, Symposium Call Center, Conference Bridge, Recorded Announcer, Personal Call Director, Auto Attendant and Hospitality Voice Services solutions.
  • Provides for VoIP with Meridian 1 ITG Gateways and IP desktop telephones such as the IP Phone 2004 and the IP Softphone 2050.
  • Sustains distribution over IP with the IP Expansion Option that enables Meridian 1 Option 11C Mini Expansion Chassis to be distributed point-to-point over 100Base-T Copper or 100Base-F Fiber via the QoS data network. Additionally, the IP Expansion Option cabinets act as fully survivable remote units, delivering an extra measure of reliability to small and medium sized enterprises.
  • Designed to be modular, flexible, and easily accommodating to future technologies. ITG Trunk and Line Gateways enable adoption of Voice over IP at a pace that's right for business—one card at a time or with full deployment.
  • Over 450 software features are available to business with X11 Release 25 software—leveraging the same feature set as that available on our larger Meridian 1 systems. As business grows, features integrated into daily business practices, such as voice messaging or automatic call distribution (ACD), are carried forward eliminating retraining costs.
  • Common Intelligent Peripheral Equipment cards (IPE) are used on all Meridian 1 system options and deliver true investment protection to the enterprise. This is particularly important to small businesses whose needs can change rapidly.
  • Reduced footprint delivers maximum flexibility with ability to table mount, wall mount or place in 19" rack mounts to collocate with data switching equipment.
