Integrated Conference Bridge

Overview

Integrated Conference Bridge (ICB) is an all-digital (DS-30X) audio conference service application designed for "day-to-day" audio conferencing needs. ICB supports up to 62 conferees on a single conference call. ICB's standards-based (HTTP) web server delivers 24x7 BUI access, via Internet and intranet, for conference services and administration. TUI access via DTMF telephone is also available for maximum flexibility. Users may also book conferences using Microsoft Outlook Calendar which integrates with the ICB card.

Key Features:
  • ICB's standards-based (HTTP) embedded Web server delivers 24x7 BUI access, via Internet and intranet, for conference scheduling, active conference control and ICB card administration. ICB is supported on both Netscape and Microsoft IE PC-based browsers.
  • Integration with Microsoft Outlook Calendar enables a one step process for scheduling conferences and informing invitees.
  • ICB's full integration and digital line card emulation enables ICB to leverage the "five nines" reliability of Meridian 1, Meridian SL-100 and Communication Server 1000 & 2100 systems along with system features such as authorization codes, toll fraud protection, call detail records and charge account codes for billing, and single-command "dial out" for emergency bridges.
  • BUI administration with Administrator's Dashboard provides easy link access for initial installation via the "install wizard", user administration online report viewing, backup scheduling, upgrades, establishing permanent conferences and setting up group callout lists for single-click access to multiple parties.
  • Pre-Meeting/Post-Meeting Notification - Voice prompts when a user calls into the ICB conference bridge advising that meeting is to commence within 15 minutes or that meeting had concluded within the last 15 minutes.
  • "Single-Number Access" option provides ICB customers the option of utilizing one Direct-Inward-Dial (DID) number and Automatic Call Distribution Directory Number (ACD DN) for cost savings.

Features & Benefits:

  • BUI/TUI access for scheduling, active conference control and administration accessible via both the Internet and intranet, on-network or off for maximum flexibility.
  • Microsoft Outlook Calendar to further simplify conference scheduling and maintenance.
  • Interchangeable conference management via both BUI and TUI during the active conference for maximum convenience.
  • Emergency Bridge capability delivering "always on," single-command contact to key personnel who are pre-defined within an ICB group callout list.
  • Entry/exit tone, voice announcement or silence options, which are user selectable on a per-conference basis.
  • Multi-language support with voice prompts available in 12 languages.
  • Brandlining of login screens (i.e., company logo or tagline) for increased personalization.
  • Customization of ICB email confirmations in which administrators can include URLs, time zone, Direct Inward Dial (DID) numbers for chairpersons and participants, help guidelines, special text, as well as include carbon (CC) and blind copies (BCC).
  • Leverages inherent system software features such as authorization codes for class of service restriction on outbound toll calls to call detail recording/charge accounts for billing.
  • Fully integrated single-slot card residing within Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) or Media Gateway Chassis which eliminates need for external power supplies, battery backup units and external equipment housings.
  • Scalable via keycode expansion with a single ICB card supporting 12, 16, 24 and 32-port configurations (one port equates to a concurrent conferee).
  • Convenient and easy-to-use user interfaces with the 4th generation of the ICB application.
  • Delivers tangible and measurable cost reduction versus external service bureaus, bringing audio conference services internal to the enterprise, thus optimizing system resources already available while avoiding monthly fees and operator assisted charges associated with such bureaus.

Technical Specifications:

ICB 4.0 hardware:

  • 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port and RS-232 serial port
