Integrated Call Director

Overview

ICD is a fully integrated, server based application that resides within a single Intelligent Peripheral Equipment (IPE) card slot on Meridian 1 systems or within a single card slot on the Media Gateway chassis for CS 1000 systems. ICD provides you with the ability to screen and route your calls to multiple phones based on customized profiles. It also allows you to distribute just one telephone number to your associates, rather than dealing with multiple phone numbers. ICD provides flexible access with a browser user interface as well as a telephone user interface.

  • Remote dial helps reduce toll charges by providing remote users access to PBX dialing plans and trunking facilities

  • Greeting choices: system greeting or personal announcement recorded by the ICD user

Features:

  • Name request option for discretionary call receiving and call handling
  • Calling Line Identification option allowing users to choose to identify their callers by listening to CLID information via the phone
  • Search options: Sequential (search for the called party by calling one phone first and then the next) or Parallel Search (ring all phones at once)
  • Dial restrictions allow ICD to check the telephone number to which it is being directed and determine if it is within the dialing parameters defined by the administrator
  • Caller Entertainment provides pre-recorded announcements until the search for the called party ends, keeping them informed of the status of the call
  • Call Answering Password enhances security for ICD users
  • Call Prioritization into high priority calls that need to be answered immediately or lower priority calls that are placed directly into voice mail
  • Supports Remote Dial enabling users to get access to PBX features by dialing in to the ICD card, such that they can make calls as if they were directly connected to the PBX
