SIMPLIFIED CALL ANSWERING

Some call answering subscribers use a simplified version requiring no touch tone commands. System access and greeting change numbers are provided by your service representative.

Retrieving your messages:
  1. Call the system access number from your own phone.

No mailbox number or password is required.

You hear the mailbox summary. Then you hear all your messages played in sequence, starting with any new messages.

Automatic message deletion:

With simplified call answering, kept messages are deleted automatically on a regular basis.

Recording your greeting:
  1. Call the greeting change number.
  2. When you hear the tone, start to record your greeting.
  3. When you are finished, hang up.

Note: If you decide not to change your greeting, hang up before you hear the tone.

You hear instructions telling you what to do.

You can hear the new greeting by calling the greeting change number again.

Access froma touch tone phone:

If you call your simplified call answering service from a touch tone phone, you can use all of the features described in this guide. For instance, you can create a password for your mailbox so that you can play your messages while away from your own phone. A help prompt lists your options.
