CREATING OR CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD

You need a password so that you can access your mailbox from any touch tone phone. Without a password, you can only access your mailbox from your own phone. Your password protects the security of your mailbox.

Creating or changing your password:

To create or change your password, first access your mailbox.

Press on the main menu to select mailbox setup.
Press to create or change your password.
Enter your new password using the telephone keypad, then
press .
Enter the same password again, then press .

When your password has been successfully changed you are automatically returned to mailbox setup.

You hear a prompt telling you to enter your new password.

You hear a prompt asking you to confirm the new password by entering it a second time.

If the two passwords do not match, you will hear a prompt telling you to try again.

Changing a submailbox password:

If you have a submailbox, you need a password for the submailbox.

Access your submailbox using the existing password.
Follow the steps above for creating or changing a password.

Note: The main mailbox owner creates the first password for the submailbox; see 'Submailbox setup'.

Choosing your password:

Your password may be any series of up to 16 numbers.
If your password is too long, you will hear a help message telling you to try again.
You cannot use the characters
and in your password.

Since telephone keypads have letters as well as numbers, you can use letters to create your password.
If you have a submailbox, choose a password which other members of your family or group won't know.
