Getting started
Call answering starts working as soon as you subscribe by answering callers with a standard greeting and storing their messages for you. You can listen to your messages from your own phone simply by calling the system access number. To play, keep, or delete your messages, See 'Playing your messages.' When you use call answering for the first time, you may hear an optional tutorial which helps you set up a password and a personalized greeting.

Setting up your mailbox:
If you wish to record your own greeting or if you will be calling in for messages from other phones, you will need to set up a personalized mailbox.

  1. Access your mailbox by calling the system access number. See 'Accessing your mailbox'; use the section 'From your own phone with no password.'
  2. Create a password if you want to retrieve your messages from other locations. See 'Creating or changing your password.'
  3. Recording a personalized greeting if you do not want to use the standard greeting. See 'Recording a personalized greeting.'

After you are familiar with the basics, you can explore the many convenient features available with call answering.
